1. Can I really control the light level using my existing wall light switch?

YES! The GREEN Dimmer monitors the number of light switch on-off cycles to determine whether to raise or lower the light intensity. Refer to our product demo to see exactly how it works. When you install the GREEN Dimmer, you don't touch the wall switch or modify it in any way. Our new product is simply installed in each fixture containing the lights you want to control.

2. How many GREEN Dimmers will I need for my office?

We recommend one for each 2, 3 or 4-lamp fixtures you have that you wish to control. Most offices contain two 3 lamp fixtures. Fixtures without a GREEN Dimmer that are controlled by a wall switch that also controls GREEN Dimmer fixtures will operate normally in their on-off mode. While It is easiest to use one Green Dimmer per ballast, you can control up to 50 ballasts per Green Dimmer if you wire all the ballast’s 0 to 10V control inputs to a single Green Dimmer.

3. Why does installation only take about 15 minutes?

To install the GREEN Dimmer, you remove the lens or cover from the overhead fixture, remove the installed magnetic or non dimming electrical ballast and connect the GREEN Dimmer and dimming ballast to the AC power and neutral wires. Detailed instructions are provided HERE.

4. Does it even work with 3-way and 4-way switches?

YES! The Green Dimmer is fully compatible with existing 3-way, or 4-way, switching installations. Any switch location may be used to control the light level.

5. Does GVcontrols have other products for sale?

8. Can I test and try out a GREEN Dimmer before I commit my office to full deployment?
